Meet the Founder:
A Mom Who Sat on Both Sides of the Table
Before Sunra existed, I was working inside Big Pharma, reading clinical data, training providers, and watching how vaccine conversations were shaped inside fast-paced, highly structured visits. I believed wholeheartedly that the system worked the way it should.
And then I became a mother.
When our daughter reacted to a routine vaccine series, our entire world shifted. What started as subtle changes spiraled into what we later learned was PANS. Suddenly, we were thrown into a maze of symptoms, specialists, and uncertainty with no map, no guidance, and very little validation.
It took years of digging into our family history, past reactions, immune vulnerabilities, and eventually genetic testing to uncover something no one had ever connected for us: our daughter fit nearly every precaution listed in the manufacturer’s own guidance. Family history. Previous reactions. Immune challenges. A genetic sensitivity to specific adjuvants. All the things we *should* have understood ahead of time but were never given the space or support to explore.
And it wasn’t because our pediatrician didn’t care. It’s because today’s system simply isn’t designed to hold all of that context inside a 12-minute appointment.
Looking back, I wish I had known what questions to ask. I wish I had seen the warnings explained in plain language. I wish someone had helped me understand the patterns that were right there in our family history long before symptoms appeared.
I’m not anti-vaccine. I’m pro-information, pro-preparation, and pro-parent. No family should have to piece all of this together alone. And no provider should have to make high-stakes decisions without the full picture.
Sunra was created to be the bridge my family never had, a clearer, calmer, more comprehensive way to understand risk, ask better questions, and walk into appointments prepared instead of overwhelmed.
